Prof. Sergei Kruchinin, a leading scientist at the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and Professor at the National Technical University, is an eminent scholar in theoretical and mathematical physics with complementary expertise in materials science. He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in physics from Kiev University and later achieved his Doctor of Science degree at the Bogolyubov Institute. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has held key positions including senior and leading scientist at the Bogolyubov Institute, Chair of the Department of Applied Physics at the National Aviation University, and visiting professorships at renowned institutions in the USA, Japan, and Germany. Dr. Kruchinin’s research focuses on high-temperature superconductivity, nanophysics, graphene systems, and electronic transport phenomena, and he has made substantial contributions to the understanding of nanoscale superconductivity, resonant tunneling, and thermoelectricity in nanostructures. He is the author of over 135 peer-reviewed journal articles, more than 50 conference communications, and eight books, including the highly regarded Modern Aspects of Superconductivity. His leadership includes co-directing multiple NATO Advanced Research Workshops and serving as project leader in international collaborations with INTAS and the Royal Society. He has been honored with fellowships and visiting professorships worldwide, including from the Austrian Ministry for Science and Research, NATO, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, and most recently as Leibniz Professor at Leipzig University. Recognized for his academic excellence, Dr. Kruchinin is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and the International Association of Mathematical Physics and is listed in Who’s Who in the World. His career reflects a sustained record of scientific innovation, international collaboration, and academic leadership in advancing the frontiers of condensed matter and theoretical physics.
